How much does bike rental cost in Phuket in 2026
Economy 150–160cc scooters cost 300–450 ฿ a day, maxi-scooters (300–350cc) — 500–700 ฿. These are real MC BIKE 2026 prices: 12 models, all automatic, minimum rental 5 days.
Prices within a class vary by year and features. A newer PCX 160 ABS (2024) costs more than a base NMAX 155, but ABS earns every extra baht during rainy season.
- Economy 150–155cc: Honda PCX 150, Yamaha NMAX 155, Yamaha Aerox 155 — 300 ฿/day
- Newer economy: Honda ADV 150 and PCX 160 — 350 ฿; PCX 160 ABS (2024) and ADV 160 — 400 ฿; 2026 PCX 160 — 450 ฿
- Maxi 300–350cc: Honda Forza 300 — 500 ฿; Forza 350 — 600 ฿; Yamaha XMAX 300 — 650 ฿; Honda ADV 350 — 700 ฿
Discounts for long-term rentals
Rent 15+ days and get 10% off, 30+ days — 20% off. The discount applies to the full amount: a month on the NMAX 155 costs not 9,000 ฿ but 7,200 ฿ — that's 240 ฿ a day.
It works on any model. A month on the Forza 350: 30 × 600 = 18,000 ฿, minus 20% — 14,400 ฿, i.e. 480 ฿ a day instead of 600. The longer the term, the bigger the savings — long-stay winter visitors benefit most.

Full math: a week and a month on specific bikes
A week on an economy scooter costs 2,100 ฿ in rental plus 420–910 ฿ in fuel — about 2,500–3,000 ฿ total. A month with the 20% discount starts from 7,200 ฿ in rental. Let's run the numbers on specific models.
- A week on the [Yamaha NMAX 155](/bikes/yamaha-nmax-155): 7 × 300 = 2,100 ฿. No discount yet (it starts at 15 days); fuel at 60–130 ฿/day adds 420–910 ฿. About 2,500–3,000 ฿ total.
- 15 days on the [Honda PCX 160 ABS](/bikes/honda-pcx-160-abs): 15 × 400 = 6,000 ฿, minus 10% = 5,400 ฿ — 360 ฿ a day.
- A month on the NMAX 155: 30 × 300 = 9,000 ฿, minus 20% = 7,200 ฿ — 240 ฿ a day.
- A month on the Honda Forza 350: 30 × 600 = 18,000 ฿, minus 20% = 14,400 ฿ — 480 ฿ a day.
Hidden costs: what to add to the rental price
Add fuel at 60–130 ฿ a day, a refundable deposit of 3,000–6,000 ฿, and delivery for 300–500 ฿ if you need the bike at your hotel. Everything else — two helmets, a phone holder, regular servicing — is already included in the price.
Fuel: Gasohol 95 (the green nozzle) costs about 43 ฿ a liter; 60–130 ฿ a day covers a scooter depending on mileage. Fill up at chain stations — PTT, Shell, Bangchak, Caltex — and leave roadside "bottle" fuel for emergencies only.
Refundable deposit: 3,000 ฿ (about $100) for 150–160cc scooters and 6,000 ฿ (about $200) for maxi-scooters. We return it the day you return the bike. We don't hold your passport — a photo of it is enough.
Small stuff, too, no surprises: a flat tire is the renter's cost, repairs run 100–200 ฿. A breakdown that's not your fault gets a free bike swap. A child seat cushion (under 6) is 300 ฿ for the whole term, kids' helmets are free, any number. Full details on the rental terms page.
Why "rental from 150 ฿" almost always costs more
"From 150 ฿ a day" in an ad usually means one of two things: it's the price for a beat-up old bike, or a month-plus rate hidden in the fine print. In person, decent bikes come with very different numbers.
Our clients have arrived from such shops with the same stories again and again: passport held as deposit, no contract, no record of the bike's condition at pickup. Later, any old scratch becomes "yours" — priced however the shop likes.
- Passport held instead of a refundable cash deposit
- No contract, no photo or video record of condition at pickup
- Bald tires and loose parts — no regular servicing
- A "from" price with no clear rate for the specific model and year
How to save without risk
The safest way to save is booking 15 or 30 days upfront: the 10–20% discount alone covers the gap between a "cheap" shop and a proper one. The second way is not overpaying for engine size you don't need.
For a "beach — café — market" routine, a 150–155cc economy bike at 300 ฿ is more than enough. A 500–700 ฿ maxi pays off if you're riding two-up and regularly heading to far viewpoints. At MC BIKE, every bike is serviced every 3,000 km and handed over on video — since 2016 we've completed over 2,400 rentals with a 4.9 rating.
Bottom line: what a month will really cost
A month on an economy scooter with all costs — about 9,300–11,600 ฿: rental 7,200 ฿, fuel 1,800–3,900 ฿, hotel delivery 300–500 ฿. We're not counting the 3,000 ฿ deposit — it's refunded on return.
On a maxi-scooter, a month runs 16,500–18,800 ฿: discounted Forza 350 rental at 14,400 ฿, plus the same fuel and delivery. For comparison, a month of taxis easily costs a family 30,000–60,000 ฿.
